Battery Park City has a ton of things to do. From the park that has an under the sea themed carousel to rooftop bars, you can spend your whole day wandering. As soon as spring hits this is one of our favorite neighborhoods to visit. When spring finally arrived last week we decided to head down to battery park city.
What To Do In Battery Park City
First stop was brunch at Merchant’s River House. This American style bistro has some seriously delicious seafood items. I highly recommend their lobster rolls and calamari. More on Merchant’s River House later this week. Afterwards, we took a stroll heading south and decided to take a little spin on the Seaglass Carousel. I love carousel not surprisingly seeing as I am a 10 year old at heart.
We then headed to Loopy Doopy our favorite rooftop bar. You can read more about them HERE. If you’ve been with us for a while you will know that this is one of our summer staples. Not unusual we stayed for hours. Even when we thought we’d have to leave because it started to get chilly, our friends at Loopy Doopy brought out blankets for everyone to cuddle under. We finally left around sunset and sat on a bench to watch the sun slowly sink into the ground. And so our lazy day spent wandering around battery park came to an end and we retreated back uptown.

Hi, I’m Jay. A twenty-something-year-old living in New York. There’s not all that much to say about me other than; I love to eat, drink and travel. I’ve lived in some incredible cities from Paris to New York to Florence, and along the way, I’ve crossed off a ton on my bucket list. I hope we inspire you to go out there and see for yourself, just how beautiful life can be.

June 28, 2017 at 3:14 pmHaha I live in NY but I don’t hang out too much in Battery City…I need to rethink that! I forgot that Loopy Doopy was down there, it looks like such a chill place to enjoy a Sunday. I generally spend my weekends in Williamsburg or just laying at home haha
