Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel | Hong Kong

Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel | Hong Kong

There is nothing more chic than afternoon tea at the iconic Peninsula Hotel. Located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. The lobby of the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong turns into a tea-rific place for afternoon tea.

Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel

The glamorous Peninsula Hotel is the flagship hotel of the Peninsula Hotel group. It also happens to be the oldest hotel in Hong Kong. It has grown alongside Hong Kong and has an interesting history which you can read about here. Opening in the height of the roaring twenties the Peninsula hotel is a perfect example of the time’s grandeur architecture. The lobby is stunning and is the back drop for afternoon tea.

With a live string quartet band the Peninsula takes you back in time.

With classics like scones with clotted cream, finger salmon sandwiches and macarons you will surely not walk away hungry. They don’t take reservations so get here early or prepare to wait in line. We arrived 30 minutes before tea actually started and there was already a 20 person line. The first time we tired to go to afternoon tea there was a hour long wait.

Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula Hotel is the perfect way to spend your day in Hong Kong.
