Nestled on the northern shore of Long Island lies the quaint town of Northport.
With seaside views and a picturesque main street, Northport is the perfect town to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City. We stopped by after exploring the Plating Fields and Arboretum of Oyster Bay, looking for something to eat.
Rockin’ Fish features plenty of options that would please all.
I settled on the Tempura Shrimp wrap. I’m not a tempura kind of girl, but I wanted to try something different. I’m so glad I did, this ended up being delicious, everything about it was on point from the mild spices to the crab meat. What’s even better than the food is the atmosphere. While the inside is has that old saloon vibe, outside on their side patio is where it’s at. Their patio has a beautiful garden with ivy growing on building side. There is something that seems so summery about ivy. Plus the butterflies fluttering about don’t suck either.
Rockin’s Fish is the perfect lunch spot if you find yourself hungry exploring Long Island. The Northern Shore has plenty to do from planting fields to lavender fields and farms. It is the perfect day trip from New York.
Hi, I’m Jay. A twenty-something-year-old living in New York. There’s not all that much to say about me other than; I love to eat, drink and travel. I’ve lived in some incredible cities from Paris to New York to Florence, and along the way, I’ve crossed off a ton on my bucket list. I hope we inspire you to go out there and see for yourself, just how beautiful life can be.
