Southeast Asia Thailand

Floating Markets and Kwai River Bridge | Thailand

When I get something in my head its a done deal. So when I told my friends “hey let’s go to Southeast Asia”, and they said okay thinking it was a passing remark. Within a couple of days I had found tours, flights, and hotels and somehow swindled my friends into taking the 29-hour journey with me. Seeing as it was our first time in Asia we decided that doing a tour was the best option.

Below is our experience at the Floating Markets and Kwai River Bridge

After a ton of research, we settled on the G adventure’s Cambodia on a shoestring, as it was the most reasonably priced and highly recommended.  We arrived in Bangkok a couple of days early to have a little more time in Bangkok, we stayed here which was super affordable and had a great restaurant with Karaoke.

One of the most recommended activities was visiting the floating markets. I booked a tour that took us to the floating markets and the Kwai River Bridge. This was probably the highlight of our time in Bangkok and I would highly suggest it. You travel by a private air-conditioned van and our driver was the sweetest and gave us great recommendations.

The floating market was unlike anything I’ve every seen; vendors, restaurants, and boats taking people back and fourth. It was pretty cool. We indulged in some coconut pancakes and the best pad thai in Southeast Asia. Afterwards we headed to the River Kwai Bridge, although very beautiful it was sadly filled with tourist, so keep that in mind. The best part was that everything was so cheap a couple of dollars goes a long way in Southeast Asia. so that extra money you save gives you the opportunity to do more.

With all that extra money you have the opportunity to do more.

I hope we inspire you to go out there and see for yourself, just how beautiful life can be.

That pad thai looks unreal. I love how spur of the moment you are from mention to booking as well! I need to take a leaf out of your book for impulse.
