When I think of fresh Lobster I automatically think of Maine. They go together like Paris and macaroons or Naples and pizza. You cant visit either without sampling those tasty treats that they are known for. So when it came time to find some epic lobster joints I buckled down and researched like my life depended on it. So here are the best lobster rolls in Maine.
This little stand is located on a bridge conjoining Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. You can get your round lobster roll with butter, mayo or both. This famous joint has won several awards including Tasting Tables Lobster Roll Rumble. They serve a heaping of Lobster that is so fresh by no surprise and finger licking good.
There are a ton of great places with good views but nothing compares to the view you get at Two Lights Lobster Shack. With bright red picnic tables overlooking the rocky coast, you can’t dream up a better view. But on to the lobster… Featured on The Travel Channel and many other places this shack has been around since 1969. The lobster and crab is so fresh you can see them unloaded the traps.
Boasting itself as Maine’s #1 lobster roll this is a place people visit time and time again. Isn’t uncommon to see lines pouring out that take hours to get through. Located along Route 1, which is one of the most picturesque drives on the east coast, this joint has become one of the most famous lobster shack in the world.
Located along Sheepscot Bay surrounded by some of the coldest and deepest waters on the coast, Five Islands Co. has some pretty fresh lobster. Their lobster is never stored in tanks so you know that it the day’s catch. It also has some great views of the bay so you can sit back and eat your divine roll in peace.
